Would you be nervous to draw your instructor’s blood? It was no problem for PA student Rachelle Stone. She handled it like pro.

GREAT presentation at on best practices of exercise prescriptions. Physical inactivity is a massive health concern that can be addressed, if we do it right.

This is a horrible idea- a money making, business idea. This would favor those who excel at standardized tests and exclude excellent candidates who would be great PAs. There is no evidence that we need it, and a lot of evidence against standardized exams, like ACT.

Regular exercise is so important to health and wellness. Had a great conversation about this recently with a patient of mine.

Prevention AND treatment. “Therapeutic lifestyle interventions” are listed as first-line treatment for many major chronic illnesses, yet the medical community’s execution of TLC is minimal or non-existent.

Exactly! Unaware and many clinicians don’t prescribe physical activity simply because they don’t know how. It’s not taught well enough in medical education.

My dissertation is attempting to address this and the other pillars of in medical education. The literature clearly shows a massive lack of lifestyle interventions in medical education.

Seriously nailed it. When I was in hospital-based Neurosurg, we’d banish people for such treachery. 😂
