This is not just about violence against police officers but it’s also about the increased violence cases they have to investigate & the growing number of emergency calls they respond to that involves horrendous stabbing and shooting injuries on a more frequent basis

What a time for the to be hundreds of detectives short when the number of murders at 134 last year is the highest it’s been since 2008. So where are they getting these officers to provide 2 additional murder squads? I hope it’s not at the expense of community cops.
