Did a spot of rewiring and got Tobbie's head closed again, with a Zero inside. Connected a PS3 controller and I can drive him around.

I also installed a camera in the front, unfortunately the cable is either too long, or too short, depending on which way round I run it. I'll have to try with a different style camera/cable to get it connected, but that's something for next week now. Space is very tight inside!

I wanted to use the original PCB as the MX1208 motor controller accepts a logic input of 2V-7V, and I wanted the LEDs in the correct place for the eyes. Soldering wires to an SMD chip was frustratingly annoying, so I wouldn't recommend it!

Would be interesting to see what you could do with the Attacknid toy from a few years back if you could find one. Same leg mechanics but much larger.

There seems to be a few on ebay, although a little much for a casual purchase right now. Interesting that it already comes armed :D Still got plenty to do with Tobbie to keep me busy (Sort the camera, maybe reuse the switch + IR detectors). Not to mention my other projects :D
