I worked with Ed Davey in a previous life & was hugely impressed by what he did in government, but has been the stand out candidate in this leadership contest & she has my vote.

So proud of my Lib Dem colleague Kirsty Williams , who has delivered a much fairer exam results system in Wales including making sure students can appeal their results for free. must now follow suit.

Pupils must have the chance to appeal their grades directly and to present evidence that reflects their performance and progress, at no cost to the pupil.

It was the leadership of Ashdown and then Kennedy that introduced to Liberalism and excited me for the future...I feel the same today about . This is such a fantastic opportunity for the Party and I pray we donโ€™t let it pass

We can do better than 6% in the polls. To do so, our party has to change. We need to rebuild trust with voters, and start winning again. Here's my plan to do just that ๐Ÿ‘‰

Pupils must have the chance to appeal their grades directly at no cost, and to present evidence that reflects their performance and progress to date. Ministers must also be crystal clear about how they will enable pupils who wish to re-sit, again at no cost. 4/4

Given that there is no consistent approach to mock examinations across schools, this could be more of a barrier than a benefit for many pupils. Had Ministers consulted teachers they would have known this. Pupils deserve better. 3/4

Young people are rightly worried that their futures are being derailed by a botched grading system. Ministers have long been warned to take extra steps to make sure pupils are not unfairly penalised, but using mock examination results won't resolve this. 2/4

I've cast my vote for you, Layla, though I voted for Ed last time. I liked that you want to build bridges with Labour. I think compromise is needed. There's a lot to be done to get this party presentable and maybe even electable. I wish you good luck and God's speed!

Thank you to Hammad for backing my campaign! Over the last 10 years our local council base has been decimated, and many of my parliamentary colleagues lost their seats. We need to rebuild our party from the ground up, so we can start winning again. ๐Ÿ‘‰
