This vote changes nothing - Theresa May’s already lost all authority. Clinging on to lead a Government that was the first in history to be in contempt of Parliament and still dodging a vote on her Brexit deal because she knows it will fail. She’s still in office but not in power

Today’s was a missed opportunity. The SNP refused to end the two-child cap, and top up Child Benefit to lift 30,000 children out of poverty. The next Scottish Labour government will.

I’m outside Holyrood with workers ahead of the Scottish budget. We need a budget that works for the many, not the few.

While the Tories tear themselves apart, one in four children in Scotland are living in poverty and 6,000 young people face Christmas without a home to call their own. We need real change to tackle the shocking levels of poverty, inequality and homelessness in our communities.

Tories are in crisis and, despite calls by Sturgeon, we were right not to rush a vote of no confidence only to risk uniting them. Labour will not revert to stunts. We have a vision for this country - and we're determined to secure it.

Scotland has the powers to fight Tory austerity, I hope the SNP listen to Labour in the Budget later today.

There's a clamour to bring forward a vote of no confidence in this shambles of a government but timing is crucial. We must be sure it would win - otherwise we risk galvanising the Tories to unite.

I was pleased to be able to drop off some supplies to 's earlier this afternoon. Then had the privilege of spending time with seeing the work it does to support people experiencing street homelessness in Edinburgh.

Our posties do a great job all year round, especially in the run-up to Christmas. Thanks to Airdrie sorting office staff and rep Kenny for their time this morning during a busy shift.

Theresa May has pulled the vote on her botched Brexit deal at the eleventh hour because she knew she would lose. It's clear we no longer have a functioning UK government. While this shambles rolls on, our public services and communities continue to suffer. We need real change.

Leaked documents show the FCO’s funding of the 'Integrity Initiative' explicitly mentioned support for its Twitter activity. Did they know that would include taxpayer-funded attacks on the Labour Party? My statement on today’s Infowars revelations:

Privatisation has failed. We need our railways in public ownership. And we need a fares freeze now.

Children living in poverty cannot wait several years for this. They need it now. The SNP must listen.

Best wishes to and her team for the World Cup - she scored twice against my primary school team when I was the goalie - I’m sure her team will do the same against Japan, England and Argentina

Really good to hear from , and about their plans to transform Lanarkshire - and from the 150 people who came today. Our next manifesto is being built in rooms like this.
