“The reality is that, if there is anything about this agreement that we have not now debated and thrashed to death, I would love to know what it is.” Ian Duncan Smith in support of curtailing the time to debate the withdrawal agreement, before voting for it. 🧐 h/t

Northern Ireland is tracing 98% of close contacts. Wales is hitting 90%. In England we’re barely scraping 50%. This is not a “world beating” test and trace system. It’s not even a system fit to control a resurgence in Covid.

Win an election promising a "terrific, Oven Ready" deal and then campaign to leave without a deal, which the country has consistently opposed. It's pre-meditated, sinister, anti-democratic and despicable behaviour.

So in 2016, despite having no detail on what Brexit meant, people knew exactly what they were voting for. But in 2019, despite having a detailed Withdrawal Agreement, MPs didn't know what they were voting for.

Project Fear. All coming true. There will come a time when the liars and charlatans who delivered this in the the face of so much evidence will emigrate to escape the consequences of the damage they have done to their own country.

Johnson told the whole country he had a "terrific, Oven Ready deal" knowing it to be a lie. 5 months until we leave the transition period and we're headed for disruptions to the medical supplies that keep people alive.

There are good people who voted Leave James. They're not the same as those who whipped up xenophobia and hate crimes, divided our communities and our country, lied and cheated and stole our freedoms, and who are now set on removing our standards and protections. We know this.

No deal Brexit is evil, putting medicine supply chains at risk and food supplies harms the people of our country , it is misconduct in office. It puts many lives at risk. We have got to take a stand legally and show our anger. This Govt has no moral decency.

Literally everything goes the same way with Brexit. A story is told of great benefits and opportunities, it all turns out to be untrue, a story is told of great benefits and opportunities. Rinse and repeat.

The government needs to step up and support hard hit sectors like manufacturing and tourism.

Brexit in a nutshell : “It is enormously wasteful and uncompetitive for UK companies like us to have to spend time, money and resources to repeat all of these registrations for no additional benefit to anyone”
