TROPICAL UPDATE Tropical storm Jerry is moving NW at 14 mph and should turn more northerly tomorrow. Models continue to show consensus that Jerry will be steered away from the U.S Monday/Tuesday.

JERRY WEAKENS & TURNS NORTHWESTWARD 5 am update: Jerry is now a tropical storm with winds sustained at 65 mph. A break in the ridge late this weekend will allow Jerry to curve north. A trough is then expected to push Jerry northeast, away from U.S.

TROPICAL UPDATE// Hurricane Jerry a bit stronger tonight and still moving west, 16 mph. Max winds now 105 mph. Jerry still forecast to turn out to sea in the wake of Humberto around a ridge of high pressure. We will keep you posted

5PM HURRICANE JERRY UPDATE: Jerry is moving WNW at 17 mph tonight. We're still expecting the storm to move to the NE into Sunday/Monday, which will curve the storm away from the Lowcountry. More details coming up at 6PM on Live 5 News!

TROPICAL UPDATE// T.S. Jerry is a bit stronger and may become a hurricane.The good news is that most of the models turn the storm around the west edge of high pressure keeping the storm off the U.S. coast. We will continue to watch and advise.

TROPICAL STORM IMELDA FORMS ALONG TEXAS COAST The depression along the TX coast has quickly developed to a tropical storm & is moving inland along the TX coast. Flooding rainfall is expected over east Texas & SW Louisiana during the next couple of days.

T.S HUMBERTO STRENGTHENING Tropical Storm Humberto should strengthen to a category 1 hurricane tonight. Rough seas, rip currents and higher than usual tides that could lead to minor coastal flooding are possible. Tonight's tide is around 9:30 pm.
