The Edinburgh Tattoo was superb, well done to everyone involved. The second half was a little 'damp' (I was soaked to the skin), my hair has only just dried 😂.

Our minimum watch strength on a watch with 1 truck is 7, minimum riders 5. Our largest watches have over 20 on them. So a clear deputy is important.

Yes. On the Brigade Intranet, Hotwire, search for Role to Rank. Everything you need to know is there.

We're urging people to . If you see no fire engines at the scene, never assume someone else has called the emergency services. Any delay in calling 999 could have devastating consequences

Role To Rank (R2R) will bring a greater clarity of roles, a clear deputy on every watch, reduction in standby moves, improved career pathways, greater appliance availability, improved opportunities for specialist officers, improved pay for newly promoted officers and so much more

We use a Dynamic Cover Tool in Control which looks at a range of info and data in real time, then Control officers move resources to cover the gaps, the key objective being to maintain appliance attendance times.
