The successive changes to the benefits system in the UK feel like a repeated assault on disabled people. It is time for the Government to take responsibility for the financial and emotional hardship it is inflicting on people

This is a victory of common sense. The clinical evidence is there so its only right that those that can benefit do benefit. Thank you to everyone who made these changes possible for the community. Now to make sure access is UK wide...

Well, without disabled people the world would be boring. Smart speakers with voice recognition, and smart control of lights etc wouldn’t exist. And much more wouldn’t be possible - such as more comfy mattresses. I’d say keeping us alive is important too!

Katy I can’t use paper myself! I have found 1 alternative that I can actually use. Realistically it’s best if you use a wheelchair. It’s a soft-ish reusable plastic connected to a heat insulated mug. But for others, that wouldn’t work either. Persecution isn’t the way forward.

An important report launched today by 👇 The ongoing failure to provide accessible housing for has & continues to contribute to denial of our right to live independently. It is important to realise, this isn't merely about 'ramps'...

Let me say one thing. I do NOT suffer. I live, just like everyone else. And yes, Living is a rollercoaster. If you thought disability hate, and thoughts of disability eugenics didn’t exist, think again. We have much more work to do, it seems.

You have no idea how tough I’m finding it right now to keep myself from looking ahead in the episode descriptions to see if Kirkman wins the election. And I’m just as bad with real elections and American Idol.

Out of everything I've ever fought for in my 30 years of living with Muscular Dystrophy, fundraising to be able to live an active, comfortable life, free of constant breakdowns and having to take extra pain meds has been one of the hardest roads.

Many thanks JW - I will keep this in mind. But I’d appreciate it if you could feed back to those responsible that an online portal similar to the one in England would be a great solution for all.

I made a report about someone driving dangerously in a car park. They were great. But the portal in England is the way forward. Simple, secure, safe and effective. I drive using hand controls, and if someone hits me it could be a year to get a new van modified! We need better!
