It was called Zencastr. It has pros and cons. Depending on your host setup you can record audio locally and use Skype/Hangouts etc. Zencastr is good for skipping that bit with guests.

"shared fate" is a wonderful tool --- it means you don't need to deal with partial failure (which is really hard). Instead, you can just ignore such failures because your part will be gone too...
