When ISIS set sulfur fires in Mosul our coalition moved heaven and earth to help put them out. I’m hopeful it can do the same here as ISIS sets NE Syria crops aflame. Another example of why depleting an already small resource base carries unintended risk.

"It's a shock to some ISIS fighters to be sentenced by a woman. In the self-declared caliphate, women had very restricted roles, requiring them to stay at home unless they were accompanied by a close male relative" ✌️✌️✌️

Crazy story. London Bridge attacker Youssef Zaghba was stopped by Italian border police trying to travel to Turkey to fight for ISIS but was later released despite saying he was going "to be a terrorist".

Good takes; the problem is that many of these countries let their citizens, often knowingly after radicalizing them, travel to Syria and Iraq and even monitored them online as they committed genocide; then didn’t bring them back and prosecute them. But then demand others not 2

What is happening in Afrin is not acceptable. There is ethnical cleansing in 22+ Yazidi villages and all over the district against Kurds, Christians and all native groups there. We cannot remain silent about Turkey’s systematic persecution of native communities in Afrin.
