The hat is growing - band completed and closed, puff stitch (which I’m still getting used to) started. Only 18 rows to go!

Generally not - most people who meet her seem to like her and she’s very good at sitting and being cuddled by small children. And obviously I love her and think she’s the best dog in the world, but I’m biased cos I’m her human.

By the way folks, if you write canon Sherlock (or even contemporary) Chris Redmond's book "Lives Beyond Baker Street" is a wonderful resource!

SUCH A GOOD BOY, MAX! He stayed with his 3-year-old human who was lost near Warwick last night while we frantically searched for her. For keeping her safe, you're now an honorary police dog. 🐶 via

I am really enjoying my latest project; a slouch hat with a ribbed band and the main body in puff stitch (band in progress). The I’m using really enhances the beauty of the stitch.

Once upon a time a maiden was decapitated by the scythes of her father's haymakers. A spring burst forth from where she fell. Light shone from her corpse. The holy well of St became a place of pilgrimage in . In 2016, her lost well was found.

Butterflies I have seen today: 6 (Red Admiral, Small tortoiseshell, Peacock, Brimstone, Common Blue and Orange Tip) Butterflies I have photographed: 0 (But I have many shots of bushes/flowers where the butterflies had been just a second before I took the photo)

Very much looking forward to this new production from Mid Kent Fisheries. Their ‘Giselle’ last year was sublime.
