A reminder to all the A Level students screwed over by this government. And GCSE students about to suffer the same fate. As soon as you’re 18, don’t let them get away with it:

You & I weren't exactly poor areas, or needy schools. However on this year's policy I wouldn't have got in. I hope both my alumna (BSc, MBChB, MRes) & (PhD) will honour offers on predicted grades.

“It’s the morally right thing to do”. Admissions tutor at Worcester College, Oxford explains why they’ll respect all offers made & ignore grade downgrades affecting 1/4 of state school applicants but only 1/10 private school applicants. Will others use this approach?

It's awful isn't it. I cringe at the thought of my PowerPoints of 15 hears ago.

Getting ready for the well-being and resilience brigades visiting the ED. Will be ready with this quote: “If the canaries in the mine keep dying, you don’t need stronger canaries” Can’t remember where it came from now, but love it

I was going to wait till tomorrow but I can't. The U grades (and other large drops) appear to be the result of a rounding issue when assigning ranked students to their grades. It'll be hard to explain via tweet but I'll try. Please bear with me as I use a simplified example.

I'm not aware of any virtual wards taking referrals direct from ED/primary care. & may know if exercise SaO2 is used to triage to virtual ward after hospital discharge.

Some months back it was reported that post-exertion oxygen desaturation may be useful to guide which patients with may be suitable for out of hospital management. However, results from the PRIEST Study call this into question... 1/...

I won't out you but ***** ED has acquired one of a kind! Short-sighted (but unsurprisingly so) of Betsi over their staff. I hope there won't be an exodus of all my other friends there as I have a vested interest in the quality of where I end up if I fall off the mountain!
