That’s a shame. The large 10kg tub does last for ages and you can reuse the tub after so it wouldn’t be single use if there aren’t any non plastic alternatives.

Well, funny you should say... I was bulk buying bicarbornate of soda in a large plastic tub but I noticed they are selling it loose at a refill store not too far from me so from now on I’ll get it from there and take my own tub.

Yes, I think it works really well, especially with the white vinegar as a rinse aid. The recipe is from The Organically Clean Home.

We found these little dudes yesterday. Couldn’t quite decipher whether they were froglets or toadlets but the kids loved seeing them on our bike ride

The dishes came out looking amazing. All you need is 1 cup of each ingredient and 20 drops of lemon essential oil. It couldn’t be easier.

One great thing about DIY cleaning products is that you can just nip to the shed when you run out of dishwasher tabs and mix up your own nontoxic dishwashing powder in minutes. Just bicarb, borax, soda crystals and lemon essential oil.

We bought this book before we got the allotment and it is great - ‘The Urban Farmer’s Handbook - Living The Good Life in the City’. The kids love growing stuff. I do most of the work but they like planting the seeds and the harvest, especially things like strawberries and peas 😊
