Cornwall at it’s best! Stormy seas, empty beaches and grinning dogs.

It is far from perfect but I am pleased with my first knitted dishcloth attempt. For a non knitter it was easy to do and didn’t take long. Most importantly it feels nice and beats using the plastic foam sponges.

I was looking hot on my walk home from the allotment.... Muddy trousers and a rucksack with leeks stuffed in the pockets!

I know, I can feel it in my teeth! The hornet won this round. I can’t get it out of my glove finger and I decided not to squash it out of spite. I might need to buy some new gloves though as it is very well hidden

A slight change to the usual morning of chaos before school. My seven year old and I have started a knitting project to make a bear. It’s fun learning together

When things were tough for us as a family last year I came across this photo in a magazine of days gone by. I spent ages looking at how carefree the three ladies looked and I couldn’t…

I’m getting quite efficient at this store business. I was in and out in 15 minutes on this week’s trip to ⁦⁩ in and came home with lots of store cupboard essentials, including a pot of sweets for the kids.

Did you know that a lot of sponge cloths are made using ? I am going to give knitting my own dishcloth a go as part of our continuing attempt to go . It is slow progress but all going in the right direction

I have just made my first moisturising facial oil and it was so easy! Just Argan Oil, Rosehip Oil, Rose Maroc Absolute and Chamomile Roman essential oil.

The Shea butter has arrived! It is much softer than I thought it would be and super oily. I’m looking forward to trying it out in my face cream experiments #

I’m taking the plunge and ordering the remaining ingredients I need to make facial oil, moisturising cream and deodorant today. I’ve saved and washed all of my essential oil bottles ready for the facial oil and I’m feeling motivated

Thank you. I was going to follow a couple of recipes in a book I have but buying the ingredients is very pricey. I might look up a few other recipes and then go for it. I have argan oil already so that’s something at least
