It’s not MY model. But, generally, complex models have many independent components β€” blind source separation, mixture modeling (clustering), and ICA (independent components analysis) are ways to incorporate them in the model. It’s also called auto-encoding in other applications.

Of course it doesn’t! Time is not an explanatory variable in those time series. The price of a stock is a function of many latent variables : social, economic, political, business, news reports, etc.
