I wish I'd had Kate O'Shaughnessy's debut novel when I was a kid because I would've loved to read about a character who knew what it was like to move away from friends, as I frequently had to.

What a treat to host Robert Pizzo in celebration of his newest books, Let's Fix Up the House and Let's Fix Up the Yard (Schiffer Publishing). My granddaughter is obsessed with machines and tools, so I think Robert is on to something here!

love SGN! Could you shine the spotlight on St. Michael Indian School which is serving hundreds of drive-up meals daily on the Navajo reservation?

What fun to host my friend Jennifer K. Man in celebration of her newest book, The Camping Trip. There is something so dear in her illustrations. Even though I gave up camping, her book tempts me to once-again pitch a tent.

I am one lucky pup to count Leslie Connor as my friend. If we lived nearer we would have the best coffee conversations about writing and dogs! Leslie's love of dogs was part of the germ of her latest novel, A Home for Goddesses and Dogs.

I'm a huge fan of Kim Bakers's new book. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Newt Gomez on my first read, after reading Kim's essay, I plan to go back and re-read The Water Bears.

I so admire Beth Anderson and how she's taken a bit of writerly advice, to use the five senses, and given it a lovely refresh, both in her essay below and in her book, Lizzie Demands a Seat: Elizabeth Jennings’ Fight for Streetcar Rights.

Just looking at Amalia Hoffman's author photo lifts my spirits! I think we are all hungry for the bright and cheerful these days. That makes it especially delightful to host Amalia today in celebration of her new board book, All Colors.

Kjersten Hayes is a person you can count on for a smile and being creative is part of her DNA. Which is why she is able to write books as much fun as The Elephant's Guide to Hide and Seek.

Barbara Dee cares so much about her kid readers, she bravely writes about the challenges so many of them face and I so admire that about her. Come read more about what she has to say.

I enjoy hosting book creator friends, but my heart does a happy skip when the book is historical fiction. Anne Bustard's newest, Blue Skies which reminds us what it takes to get through tough times. I can't wait for you all to read it!
