The City of Wolverhampton has a new Mayor. Cllr Phil Page was invested as the citys 160th Mayor at Annual Council Meeting, with Mrs Elaine Hadley-Howell becoming Mayoress. Cllr Claire Darke is now Deputy Mayor and Dr Paul Darke is Deputy Consort.

A series of commemorative benches are being installed across Wolverhampton. On each bench is a plaque which reads "Placed here on behalf of the people of the City of Wolverhampton to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One and to remember those who served. 1918-2018"
