That’s also what one of the early developers of freebase told me when I accindentially found out we were both working atlassian and met. Google can use many sources for entities. They’re in a unique position.

No doubt. Freebase and all that stuff. But it’s hard to reverse engineer. I assume top results for a query still show the way. Just not looked at a single page but how it fits into the context of a site.

True! Creating a good taxonomy is tricky, though, and I wonder if Google bases it off of a set of seed pages or Wikipedia. Hard to prove.
