In truth, there was *so* much talk about the Southern Strategy that Nixon's aides worried that the Northeast was starting to feel neglected because of it. Here's a memo from the papers of Harry Dent, the former Thurmond aide who directed the Southern Strategy for the Nixon WH:

She posted outright fabrications and clear distortions of the historical record on her site and, when an actual historian pointed out the lies, blocked him and kept the lies up. If you want to claim she's not ignorant, but just lying, that's certainly your right.
