I was a complete skeptic until the 7. Now I think it is the sweet spot!

that's the thing: you have to experience the smaller slates to understand the benefits IMO. Most wrote them off without doing so.

I guess the magic formula "try before you opine" applies to helluva things.

Considering the iPad Mini for my kids. Perfect for their hands. Better than a gaming console and cheaper in the long run.

I asked my kids if they were interested in the mini. All said no. Can't put it in their pocket... iPod Touch.

Have loved the 7" form-factor since the beginning, Kevin. It's all about use-cases. Suits me perfectly.

it depends a lot on your main device of choice. e.g. while using the Note 2, my Nexus 7 is going unused.

same here. The G-Tab showed us the use cases, needed more apps. Thinking of trading iPad-Mini 4 LTE version

I can see how the note 2 can do that. It's the definition of convergence for some.

had any thoughts on 7-8" RT or Win 8?

John Peavoy 3 Nov 12
Yes indeed, the Note 2 has taken the 7" use cases and optimised them in a more convergent device. Great option!

Haven't looked too much at them just yet tbh. Using 8 on older non-touch laptop. I like! You?

I'm using 8 on touch and no-touch laptop. Great improvement, even in desktop. Want to try Iconia W510 on Atom.
