I was thinking of creating an app called WhatsChap. An app where people can ask for advice about getting out of tricky or delicate situations while keeping the moral high ground and remaining a chap. Could be expanded to include virtual valets. Can't be arsed though.

New paper 📝 The Minsk agreements rest on two irreconcilable interpretations: is Ukraine sovereign, as Ukrainians insist, or should its sovereignty be limited, as Russia demands? Western policymakers should acknowledge the starkness of the Minsk conundrum

Yep. Had the helmets, had the boots, could never quite bring myself to embrace the romper suit though.

My fave: I often work out of a cold room and wear a down jacket to stay warm. The background photo here is one I took from C4 (8000m) on Everest. It’s from the Tibet side looking back at the Nepal side. Truly like the lunar surface, only a small few have walked onto this side.

I fully recognise that I am immensely fortunate being the one who doesn't have to sit in a darkened room for stuff like this.

Compelling insights by Sir Humphrey. I regret USA will withdraw from OST. Russia is a notorious treaty violator. But USA is more secure when working with Allies, within international frameworks vs unilaterally withdrawing, going it alone. Lead...don't leave.
