Thread: I was an asylum-seeker, I’m a refugee now! I find it very disturbing, disheartening and difficult to keep reading, watching and listening to peopel dehumasing peopel like me! I try to keep positive as much as I can but sometime it’s just too much...

Empathy. It's what helps people see beyond their own circumstance and care for others. Your response to this is scary. Oh, and I live way outside the M25.

Lots of the close family of Nadim the 4 Year Poet live in Beirut and have been badly affected by the blast. Here is his Wish poem for them.

Every penny this hero raised for the NHS has been lost to Liz Truss' mate who has a company worth £100 on paper.... Let that sink in.

You do know that after the "nap in the middle of the day" work is resumed for another 4 hours or so? It's about not working in extreme heat. Oh, and about connecting with others rather than loving nothing but money.

On Hiroshima Day, we remember Yuri Kochiyama, Asian-American pacifist and civil rights activist. A friend of Malcolm X, she was with him at his assassination. "The US is a nation where people are not united because of three glaring frailties: racism, injustice and inequity."

So let me get this straight. , accused of horrific abuse and trafficking of dozens of victims, is a poor little rich girl whose father died etc. But , accused of eating avocados and expressing interest in the wrong tiara, is Lady Macbeth. Right.

The current UK Covid 'strategy', if I may use such a word for their serial haplessness, is as much about UK politics, and the Brexit car crash to come, as it is about concern for the health of the public. We saw in Phase 1 how little they cared for people's lives and welfare. 1/4
