Cambridge Hedgehogs 52m
Hedgehogs will sleep under sheds/decking, in compost heaps, bushes and long grasses. Please take special care when gardening or moving items of garden furniture to ensure that one isn’t disturbed or injured, esp as females are now nesting 💕🦔

That was a Kilmarnock willow. Not really suitable for a hedge

Goat willow is incredible. If you plant in the autumn and prune down to 3/4 buds, it’ll grow 6-8 feet the next year! Same with Elm. Hazel is also up there for supporting the most insect species

We’re halfway through , so I thought it would be a great time to share this beautiful meadow with you. Ragged robin, kidney vetch and red clover all flowering, and bumblebees foraging 🐝🌸 A wonderful habitat that needs a big space, right?

Oh no!!! I don’t know what grows most quickly but a mixed native hedge would be perfect there. Good luck!

It’s hard to see cos it’s so covered in pollen but it’s likely to be the garden bumble, nimbus hortorum

It was on one of the hawks... in my mate’s garden in Hove. I’ll get her to record it. Exciting! Thanks

Thanks Karen, it's not my garden at all - completely the creation of the wonderful . I merely rambled on about caterpillars and flower shapes, and dragonfly perches!
