I apologized to the nurse I threatened. I didn't apologize to the doctor. He prescribed something else & fled. He never got that close again

In my chart, there is a bright red sticker that says I should never have morphine. Because my brain chemistry reads it so wrong

I have an unusually high tolerance for pain. In part because even the pain meds that work mostly just put me to sleep. It still hurts

I really can be a very sweet girl. The floor nurse & I got along fine after that. The baby nurse was always a little skittish.
