Bill Polian just cleared up why Reich wasnt interviewed in the first round. Reich told his agent and attorney he wouldnt take interviews during the playoffs as to not mess with preparations.

That's a lot of bullshit, no team is going to wait until after the playoffs to have their initial interview and push them too far behind the eight ball, they've lost out on all the other candidates. There's two weeks there one day is available for an interview

If the person you want to interview is refusing to take the interview how is that bullshit? He didnt want anything to be a distraction.

Probably won’t satisfy those who believed Ballard never wanted Reich though. They’ll continue to cling to that narrative, even after this perfectly reasonable explanation.

My question is... why?

They are just cynical about everything the Colts do. I really can’t explain why.

If true then I think this makes the Colts look even more foolish. If they truly were interested then why make the decision to go with jerkoff and not wait for Reich? JMO

I'm sure there's some face-saving going on from the Colts, but I did find it odd at the time that Reich wasn't interviewing with anyone last month. This explanation seems plausible.

Oh I get it, so he passed up the chance at the head coaching job with the Colts, because he didn't want to take an afternoon to interview with Ballard. I mean he knew McDaniels was going to back out? or he was fine with the opportunity to pass on being head coach in the NFL?

McDaniels was the top offensive guy out there for several years,, he’s a jerk and it didn’t work out. I’m happy with Frank however we got him. Move on
