Social Media Manager: “Pumpkin on a toilet? Bit of a tenuous link isn’t it?” Marketing Manager: “Look, I’ve carved in now. Took me hours. And anyway, nothing says horror liked a blocked toilet.” SMM: “Ok, if you’re sure.” 🎃

It was fantastic to meet the members of the 's Littering and Plastic Waste Committee today and a pleasure to speak to them about the campaign. Exciting to see so many young people engaging in this discussion, raising their voices & acting for what they care about!

Most wet wipes contain plastic. Avoid if you can, otherwise bin & don't flush.❌ They can block pipes, causing sewage (& plastic) spills into rivers & seas💩 We need clear packaging from brands on what can’t be flushed. Until then, it’s up to us to spread the word.

Fish food. These are copepods teeming in my plankton sample. They feed on phytoplankton and themselves are the food for many larger marine creatures. I sample them by towing a net just beneath the sea surface.
