Chicago ✈️ Seattle. It’s been 5 years too long and it’s finally time for a long-awaited trip back to the PNW. See you soon, Emerald City (and you, too, 😘).

This son of a bitch () was waiting for me to get a meal button at my poker table so we could grab lunch and he hits this jackpot on a PENNY SLOT. Lucky bastard. 🔥

Well, in that case, you have your choice of deep dish. My rankings go Lou’s, Gino’s, Giordano’s out of the 3 staples. Grab a deep dish from Lou’s & go chill on the Pier or by Grant Park w/some cold beverages. Can’t go wrong. If you can, grab an Italian beef (Al’s) before you go.

Had to have been a bit hyperbolic in nature. I read it off a quote tweet and yeah. Oh well; I really hope Brock is amazing out of the gates. I am raising the bar for next season’s team after getting Woolridge and seeing our guys at the U19. Awesome showing.

I don’t see Ballo there past 2021-22 at the latest, so it doesn’t make sense for him to redshirt. Arlauskas makes sense. I’ve seen some people say Zakharov, but that doesn’t make sense to me either. I don’t know where he would get minutes from, though.

I’m hopeful Ravet is great, but that’s a pretty absurd sentence to put out there considering who the PG was last season. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Either way, Go Zags

Well, we’ll see what happens, but that backcourt is going to get very crowded in 2020.

I think that’s one of the more interesting questions this season. I hope he goes away from that and allows for a bigger rotation, especially through WCC play. We shall see. I agree with your assessment, though.

I think he’s wasting Watson’s full potential if he has him operating in the post consistently. There are true bigs on the roster and Anton can obviously play down there; I don’t think that’s the best use of his skill set, though. Let him drag guys away from the basket at the 3/4.

If I had to peg a starting lineup, I would go: Woolridge/Gilder/Kispert/Tillie/Petrusev to start the season with a number of guys getting good minutes off the bench. End of season guess? Woolridge/Gilder/Watson/Tillie/Petrusev with Timme/Ballo/Ayayi getting major minutes.

I guess it’s just a number. Ayayi can be a 3. Watson could be a 3. They have so many options, especially with the bigs. Steven wrote a tremendous article about that versatility a few weeks ago where he broke down the different sets available for GU on offense w/these bigs.

He is a combo guard and there are pretty much no scenarios I can see where he isn’t at least in the guard rotation. I’m all for interchangeable guys and positional versatility, too, but I’ve never ever heard of or thought of Ayayi as a 3. I guess if you’re going small, but hmmm.

Long term, maybe, although I’m doubtful, but there is absolutely no way in hell freshman Ravet > 5th year Perkins, sorry. Parks is smart, especially about Xavier, but that’s a flaming red dumb hot take. As for Ayayi, it’s time to give him serious run. There’s no excuse now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m hopeful Ravet is good, but an upgrade? Over Perkins?! Hahahahahahaha. Nooooope. And he’s probably the third best PG on the roster as of now behind Woolridge and definitely behind Ayayi, at least after that U19 performance. Joel should get every chance to start. 🤷🏻‍♂️💯

Contrast in styles like one guy plays at a rocket pace and the other guy is slower than molasses. There are different forms of gamesmanship. Let’s not act like Nadal doesn’t get away with murder. 🙄
