Let's talk about peeing in space. Several people, in response to my NY Times essay, have said that women couldn't go into space because we lacked the technology for them to pee in space.

I was planning on another stream this weekend, but temperatures here will reach the 110°Fs (~45°C) both days, and I don't have AC at home, so that's not happening 😅 I'm then leaving on vacation, so next stream won't be till after RustConf! See you then 🏕️

That's a neat idea! I've added a tracking issue for this in the crate-ci/azure-pipelines repo: .

Yeah, that seems about right! With async/await it'll be much more "linear", but we still have some way before that lands on stable. And happy to! I'm glad to hear you found them interesting!

ZIP files historically had file names encoded as CP-437, later UTF-8. But some files are neither - they use the locale of the user who creates the archive. So in 2007, Ubuntu merged a patch that selects encoding based on the locale of the user who extracts the archive 😈😈😈

My latest feature: WannaCry almost broke the internet. Two years on, I spoke to the people who found the kill switch, maintained it for a week amid police raids and botnet attacks, and how they survived the most stressful week of their lives.

I'm so so excited to announce Rustacean Station (), a new "community podcast" where Rustaceans can pitch episodes and we'll help you get your ideas out there on the airwaves! The first episode on 1.36 by and myself is now up 🎉

I was tired of configuring CI for libraries over and over again, so I wrote up my ideal Pipelines setup as a template. Now it's trivial to re-use for any Rust project!

Ah, no, I specifically wanted to avoid stuff that required me to set up a full WordPress instance. All I wanted was a simple GitHub Pages-based setup 😅
