Tragic, and terrible, and we seem to have no idea how to tackle it.

It's so weird, right? Is this all the Borisgraph has got?

God knows if this is true - it is in The Telegraph after all - but isn't serving in our foreign intelligence service a better qualification for being PM than being repeatedly sacked for lying?

It's a fundamental feature of our justice system that everyone is entitled to legal representation. And the barristers are subject to the cab rank rule. I am proud to fulfil my.professional obligations.

And, as I understand it, MPs will benefit from absolute privilege so we may hear some home truths. And there are some EXTRAORDINARY rumours

That's a fair point. Arron Banks instructed lawyers and threatened to sue me for libel. He didn't, of course, but it cost me real money to defend it.

I'm being dignified about this, Andy, but you are going to have to delete your tweet and apologise because that tweet is false and damaging.

It's not false. It doesn't say I am paid a salary by GLP. It just recognises that in the future I may be. To date I haven't been and there are no plans to pay me a salary.

We pay lawyers to argue the cases for us. But I have not taken any "fees or drawings" - or any money other than recoupment of expenses - from the crowdfund. Indeed I spend so much of my time doing pro bono work my income has fallen. You need to delete your tweet and apologise.

I have not taken any money from the crowdfunded cases, Andy. Where I have had to travel I have recovered my direct expenses - eg flights and (once) hotels - but your assertion my work through enriches me is damaging and false.

Can I assume you're not going to remove and apologise for your lie, Andy?
