Today is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day. We all must do our part to have the conversations, end the stigma and check in with each other. 300-400 physicians/year die by suicide. Female physicians have a risk 2x the general population and male physicians 1.4.

This week’s Firearm Injury elective... Matthew Miller on relationship btwn household gun ownership & rates of suicide. Lethal means restriction saves lives! Suicide acts often impulsive/fleeting! Fatality rate w/ firearms 90%, but 5% w/ pills/cutting.

Becoming anti-racist is easier to pen than to live. What zone are you in? What zone are you aiming for? Have you asked for feedback from others on whether or not you are meeting your goals?
