My wife tried to make me watch that 2005 WS game that was on tonight. I think we’ve been cooped up too long.

Depends. What time did the spacecraft think it was after the test?

Two days ago, my daughter went with me to get carry-out. She was wearing a long shirt so I didn’t notice this at first. I asked her if she wanted to go in with me. Her response, “I can’t. I’m not wearing pants.”

I’ve shot lots of space station flyovers, but this one was special. I had actually been in Florida a few days earlier and saw the launch from one of the VIP viewing sites. And then got to see this from the driveway of my home!

Here’s one I did during STS-117. The double streak is Atlantis and ISS, I believe shortly after undocking. It’s not a very pure black sky, I know, as we are stuck with a lot of light pollution in my city.

The is making me feel something I haven’t felt since the days after 9/11: Hopeful that humanity is so much better than we give ourselves credit for.

As a high school journalist, I interviewed John Hinckley’s mother and father there once. They were in town talking about mental health. I still have a letter his dad sent me, complimenting the article that resulted from our chat.

My house is currently cleaner than the inside of an N95 mask. That’s what I’ve been doing for two days straight.

The number of infections is in no way meaningless to anyone. And people like this guy, who spend all day trying to blame the messenger and not solve the problem, are simply the worst. They don’t care that people are scared. They care exclusively about misleading primary voters.

No, it’s not bad journalism. Telling the truth and being honest are at the core of good journalism. The numbers are the truth and the say something. You think it says people are being mean to POTUS. The rest of us think it means too many are dying. Want to wager on who’s right?

My daughter is hoarding Pop Tarts, in the event of, in her words, “a Pop Tart apocalypse.” I thought that was the day she discovered Pop Tarts.
