Att Ikea minskar utsläppen i absoluta tal med 15 procent till 2030 räcker inte, anser som varit med och tagit fram Carbon Law. Enligt denna måste utsläppen minska med 50 procent till 2030 – vilket möbeljätten bör sätta som stretchmål.

Transparency is good though and these three are global and reports on scope 1-3 - and have reasonable reduction targets compared to most companies. They can do more - but major pressure should be put on the companies who are not transparent and with weak targets and results

Produkter som är urbilliga då de produceras med (nära) slavlöner och kolkraft, snabba att få hem genom fossiltransport, används minimalt, trycks in i förråd och sedan dumpas en mass och inte återvinns (tillspetsat) Det ger kanske en kick - men accelererar resan mot 4:a grader.

Vi behöver kapa fossil-flygresorna men samtidigt investera i landsänkor och förnyelsebart för varje ton vi inte tagit bort. Så balansering behövs men inte den gamla off- setting tanken.

Off-setting is not the solution of course. The Comittment must be to halve within 5-10 years towards zero. It means to cut more than 10% /year-everywhere. But at the same time invest in land sinks and renewables balancing the remains in certified projects.
