I've seen my first lily beetles this year. Several years growing and no sign. Now I went for planting whole lily pots up they've descended for a feast.

Also got cosmos, zinnias, bergamount and echinacea germinated in the last week. Not sure if they'll be time for them to grow big enough but the zinnias are looking hopeful.

So many to choose from at this time of year. ☀️🌸🌼🌺 Big orange poppy. First foxgloves this week. Summer pots hardening off. First lupine 😀. New yellow leaved acer and a blue camassia.

I usually do mine in a rush when I realise I'm losing the chance to sow. Drag a line in the soil with hori hori and scatter. Lack of care seems to work for them.
