china’s plan with Canadian pork shipments is twofold: attempt to bullyCanada into releasing huawei PLA member AND make the West think they don’t need pork. The reality is that china DESPERATELY needs pork due to its entire pig population being killed 1/2

they want the price of pork down so they can contract to purchase it all in the next 40-60days. 70% of chinese protein ingestion is pork. This is going to be a biblical food shortage for the ccp.

There is no telling how high all protein prices are about to go. Pork, beef, poultry...the world will be in a massive deficit by the 4th quarter of this year.

So we just have to wait for the "operators" to wash out the "smart" guys who will buy this on the fun de mentals first... then the mark up can begin... 😀

If ccp is well stocked with pork do they care about the rest of the country? The most interesting part of this to me is how far the ccp has to bend to manage potential unrest.

They aren’t well stocked. Their diseased pigs die within two weeks of being afflicted. They are putting the infected meat into cold storage. So cold storage is completely full of nasty pork. They are trying to sell it to unwitting buyers (US customs just caught a shipment coming

Into New Jersey. Once the diseased pork is sold or disposed of, they will be COMPLETELY OUT OF PORK for years. This is why the world seems to be sanguine about the severity of this issue.

It's been years, thanks for talking about this topic internationally. Not just pork, but other foods have similar problems in China. That's why we the people need to overthrow the rule of CCP and embrace Rule of Law.

Interesting take here by hedge fund manager that this may be a two fold move by China. More at play here than just Meng Wanzhou pressure.
