Yes, thank you. We had this conversation during last year's cull. It's a shame you don't balance it with "wasps are good" articles in the media. This is all that seems to crop up so it's no wonder I see endless requests for pest control on FB to wipe out nests.

Why on earth are they called Natural England when they are doing their utmost to make it as unnatural as possible. "Natural England", those two words together make you think of wild flower meadows and birds in the hedgerows. It's to divert from the slaughter they condone.

So any weirdo that wants to kill wildlife will have their application sanctioned if they say it's for scientific research? I'm not clear what benefit this research will be to the bird species or anyone else. Disgusting, Natural England are not fit for purpose.

One of our cats has just come in and spat out a live fly. Thanks for that. 😬

I agree. I'm also not sure that this annual wasp cull, (), sends the right message. I know it doesn't affect the population levels but can influence people's attitudes. Please don't kill wasps apart from the ones you kill for us? Use photos.

I know. Using their logic all that should be left is some big fat badgers, a couple of foxes and a few corvids. I didn't catch all of it, but still enough to start the day with a few choice words. 😁 Sadly there are still a lot of people that choose to believe this rubbish.

That's a really good use for all those baking trays covered in dust in my kitchen cupboard that haven't seen daylight for years. 😁

Oh no 😯 Is it just a water stain? It's not bulging is it? (Not that I can offer any help or advice, only sympathy 😬)

It's that time of year again. The time when it's nice to remind people that are not 'baddies'! explains better than I can -

It takes a disturbing lack of morals to steal a van from a rescue charity; It takes a monster to not return the blind hedgehog in a pet carrier sitting behind you.

That's great. I thought someone would have but thought I'd better mention it just in case. 🙂

I wonder if it would be useful to take part in the Norfolk Bat Survey, run by the BTO. I doubt if you could use the results officially but maybe it would help. . It only runs until end of September though so you'd have to hurry. (Apologies if you've already done it)

Coincidence that On Your Farm BBC Radio 4 this morning was to let us know that grouse shooting is good for wildlife? Tell that to all the species shot, trapped and poisoned.
