Zack Cozart missed one, and plate ump Mark Wegner probably did too. It was a bad 7th inning and the have lost 5 in a row.

Yes, that was Dallas Keuchel sitting in Scott Boras’ box at the game tonight. I’m told you shouldn’t read anything into it.

The Angels lost 4-3 to the Rangers. They had Mike Trout at the plate at the end with the tying run at 2nd, and he struck out. Canning: 5 IP, 1 R. Goodwin HR. Lucroy HR. Bedrosian: 1 IP, 2 R (1 ER) to give up lead in the 7th. Cozart had a big error to start the inning.

Mike Trout just made his first error since 2017. The Rangers have taken a 4-3 lead in an inning in which a lot has gone wrong.

announced 43,806 tonight, their first sellout of the year. This comes just after a 4-game losing streak, including one of their ugliest games of the season. It's Star Wars Night and they gave out Rally Monkey Wookies.

It's Cam Bedrosian against the top of the order with a 1-run lead in the 7th. Also, it seems Ausmus is trying to get one more AB out of La Stella instead of going with the best defense (Goodwin to LF, Fletcher to 3B, Calhoun to RF)

The top of the Rangers order is up in the 7th, but Gallo doesn't hit till 5th (for some strange reason.) Buttrey in the 7th? He hasn't pitched since Monday. Get 2 out of him?

Canning finished the 5th with 95 pitches, so I guess he's probably done. How do you want to dole out the last 12 outs? Everyone but Noe Ramirez and Cody Allen is available. The are up 3-1.

Griffin Canning is at 88 pitches and he's going through the middle of the order for the 3rd time, with a lead. This is where, if the Angels had their starters pitching as well as they wanted, Felix Pena could be a very useful 6-7 out reliever.

Griffin Canning's 4th inning 7 pitches, 7 strikes, 3 outs. That helps. He's now at 79 pitches. up 3-1

Brian Goodwin, who is getting a start vs a LHP over Kole Calhoun, just curled a 2-run HR inside the RF pole, putting the up 3-1. It's Goodwin's 6th HR of the year. He's slashing 301/370/500

Jonathan Lucroy's 7th HR of the season ties the game 1-1. Lucroy has surpassed his HR total from each of the past 2 years.

45 pitches to finish 2. This is why Jaime Barria is here tonight.
