At breaks down the central threat to our : The insidious nature of voter suppression is that it convinces us that it’s user error; that it’s a one person problem...But it’s systemic. Fight back: litigate, legislate & advocate!

Question of the day: Why are so many NY lawmakers unwilling to reform our Jim Crow era policy of stripping Citizens convicted of felonies of their , regardless of nature of the offense? Let’s at least for persons on parole!

Here are my principal conclusions: 1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report. 2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct. 3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances. 4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

For ends have always justified the means. He’s felt that way about election regs since b4 McCain-Feingold. And he’s achieved stunning (devastating) political advantage playing zero sum. But it’s not zero sum; It’s lose-lose for !

A dispute over in Ulster is putting state funding at risk AND could leave THOUSANDS of students underserved for 2019/2020 elections. Enough is enough! leadership must do more to ensure students have fair access to the ballot!

This is a great voting reform all states should consider: better respects the fundamental right to vote by counting state-, county-, & citywide contests rather than literally spoiling the full ballot, based on where a person happens to be standing when they vote!

Fascinating read about the history of CBD medicinal use: “The high cost paid by people of color from what we now call “the war on drugs,” may not have been an incidental byproduct but an unstated goal from the start.” via ⁦⁦

requires the board of elections to count the affidavit ballot of a voter if that voter appeared at a polling place in the correct county, but in the wrong election district.  supporting this bill!

Senator Graham & his ilk bear responsibility for damage being done to our national interests—at home & abroad—by acquiescing to Mr. Trump’s incompetence, corruption, & malevolence. Who will shun political expedience & do what is right? “Who among you is wise and understanding?”

Question of the day: If NY lawmakers don’t like the cap on (7 sites max are required for larger counties, but more sites can be added discretion), why not just raise the cap to improve access in populous counties and ?

Check this out! Sen has a Pro-Voter bill moving next week in Albany (S3045) to streamline the affidavit (provisional) ballot process AND eliminate potential for abusive, hyper-technical challenges to affidavits that serve no purpose but suppression !
