Also on the allotment this weekend: these lovely fellas hiding out in the compost bays. 3 newts (2 in the picture) and a common frog. Lovely :) Could certainly do with their help with the slug situation...

They're called 'Ruby Sunset', I've grown them for the first time this year - they're a lovely colour, aren't they? The other thing that's great about them is that they have multiple flowers rather than just 1 big one :)
