Sheep dip, nasty blended scotch I save for the really sour depressing days when good stuff would be wasted.

Powerful reasoning as usual and I don't envy Ben Wittes having to write this about a friend of 20 years but I'm glad he did, it's a powerfully argued conclusion.

No chance. Absolutely no way 14-15 Republican senators would vote to impeach him.

Chad. There was always a Chad in those prep school packs.

The FBI has very, very little incentive to touch the screamingly hot stove here and take a strong position on whatever it finds, anything they find will have to be irrefutable on its own. However, 6 days is ages of time for new media stories to develop which could change things.

Nah, cream puff 'interview' on Fox News where no real questions are actually asked to solidify his grifting opportunities for the future. Hannity by Sunday or Monday.

The other big conditional is if no other big new media stroies hit the media in that time. Really hard to predict what will happen there, another credible story could easily develop between now and Wednesday.

Why on earth do you think McConnell will honor this or that Flake would change his vote if McConnell steamrollers him?

Doesn’t matter, Manchin is a yes, so Kavanaugh is in and neither one of them was going to vote against him anyway.

Of course not. The new GOP standard for high office in the age of Trump is to not be a convicted child molester, we saw that with Roy Moore, why would this be any different when the stakes are so much higher?

I'm 100% in favor of you letting fly with your opinions. Just trying to balance out the trolls.

Already gone. I hate saying it but it is. With Kavanaugh on the court there is a block of 4 justices who will be relentlessly partisan, Roberts has shreds of integrity but only shreds and it's not enough. It's going to be dark decades similar to the 1840s and 1850s for SCOTUS.

Be careful of the anonymous ones, GOP committee staff could easily be floating the non credible ones as a way to discredit the more serious ones. If there is one that is obviously not true, the media will likely lump them all together even if they are unrelated.

There is a time for sarcasm and snark, but when discussing the gang rape of a teenage girl and the cynical partisan drive by some of the highest officials in the country to minimize her chance to have that charge verified is not it. If you have any outrage left, let her rip.

Its cynically tactical. He only has to keep the lid on until a vote next week, doesn't matter what comes out after that.
