I would go a step further and say that it's physiological. It's embodied. Imagination and confidence are held hostage by anxiety and fear, which is more in the body than in the mind
|

the 2 are deeply intertwined, of course, but I think it's worth mentioning anyway because a pretty common failure mode – which I struggled with for 10+ years – is trying to think your way out of a courage deficit. Thinking can help, but only to the degree that it leads you to act
