By using Raff Capashen in historic, I casted Teferi (5), untapped 2 lands, then played Elspeth Conquers Death on my opponents upkeep. After that, we didn't make it to the draw step. Historic is whack.

Historic has been way more fun than standard right now. Zombies has been pretty gas, too. Some games only require a small amount of attacking, and then burning the rest. Still tuning a bit.

So double masters will be interesting to see how it develops as a product, but since Fetches are not in it, there is a growing amount of pressure for them to deliver on wherever they are being reprinted.

Playing Narset, baby Teferi, and Papa Teferi in historic just feels... so right. Yes, I do enjoy playing the villain.

I would be curious to see what Veil of Summer being legal would change about standard. I mean, they're gunna blink their Agent anyway, so let me block just 1 instance of it?

TIL that using the Wrath side of Realm-Cloaked Giant doesn't kill Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath. ...k.

I've been putting together my own cube recently, and my oh my, is it a fun process. Not only is cube my favorite format, but there's so much design and personality you get to put into it. Acquiring the cards on the other hand... has been a bit rough the on the ol' wallet.

Was playing the event with the 0-cost spells, only to find that you CAN'T cast some cards like Snapdax Mutate since it needs double white. Just a really great inclusion here. A 3/5 is just what I want from that card.

Can there be a different, more fun, and more interactive card to cheat into play than Agent of Treachery? It's pretty boring when it's the win-con in half the standard decks.

I think all the various parts of designing a set are cool, but the arc from art to science they have I find particularly cool. Vision is entirely artistic and creative. Set design is a combination of both. Play design is mostly the science of what is needed and what is right.

I've really been enjoying the interviews on his podcast lately. In particular, the various interviews of the various areas of design have been fascinating. I really enjoyed a comment with of how a set starts as Art, and gradually moves towards science.

I asked myself this question, too, but in the linked decklist there are no Clarion. Only shatter.

Hey Mark, can you elaborate on these a bit? Just a sentence of each would help.

No, just not ready to put out a sideboard guide at this point. So just the main 60 right now.

A new take on an old favorite. Odd Lukka Mono-Red. Going to be tuning this and putting out a final list and verdict of the deck over the coming days.

: A set about big scary mutating monsters. Meanwhile... Standard: No mutate cards being played. Hmmmmmmmm.
