They have good food there too, and 2 bars, let me repeat 2 BARS! ๐Ÿ˜œ And their own beer (Volcano Blossom), which is made for them locally.

Yeah they did, all things considered. Competition just became too much and the land too valuable.

VB has a rapid river as well (TeAwa The Fearless River) which requires the use of a flotation best, itโ€™s super fun and really intense in parts. Then also have a water coaster (Krakatau Aqua Coaster), which is something Aquatica desperately needs.

Water Mania was a Water Park that stood on the east end of 192 across from Celebration. Opened in 1987 and closed in 2005. I think thereโ€™s apartments there now.

I like VB, itโ€™s a cool park, but Typhoon will always be my favorite!

Itโ€™s dead over there, was all summer. Their hours have been adjusted and theyโ€™re now closed two days a week. I see a possible repeat of Water Mania down the road if they donโ€™t start bringing in crowds.

Theyโ€™ve been forced to enter a value level market that appeals to locals, as both SeaWorld and Aquatica are basically regional parks now. I feel bad for the staff, any day could be their last with the constant layoffs. Itโ€™s a tough place to work.

They do the best with what little money and staff they have left. It was a much different park when it first opened. Highly themed, unique custom soundtrack, animal encounters. Theyโ€™ve had to cut a lot over the years sadly. Iโ€™d still rather go there than Island H2O!

They were ranked #1 water park several years in a row by readers of USA Today. They were ousted this year by Splashin' Safari Water Park - Santa Claus, Ind.

Thoroughly drying is a bonus, Iโ€™m just impressed if they stop to wash at all.
