Turns out my neighbourhood gem isn't just deelish; it's also a terrific example of innovation in restaurants/food waste. 👍😍

Yeah, I noticed that. Not clear if it's not top of mind for broad sample or if it's a fully prompted survey & Indigenous issues weren't listed as an option. Mind you, regional may show more variation on vote-shaping issues;might turn up there?

Renters. Renters. Renters. It is not the morphology of housing that is important. It is the political economy of housing that matters. The missing middle is elusive if you don't deal with the dominance of property and the victory march of financialization.

Reading the replies, I wonder: if your immediate response to low paid workers with no job security or benefits finding a way to make a better wage from an employer that denies they're even employees is "charge them with conspiracy", I think you're missing the bigger point here.

Side hustle site : Rhubarb. com Fun fact - did you know that when a film/stage scene calls for general murmur of a crowd, the crowd/extras are often directed to mutter "rhubarb rhubarb Rhubarb"? And for a more excited hubbub (!) they say "peas'n'corn, peas'n' corn". 😊

I’ll note this once again Stephen Harper didn’t appoint an MP who opposes abortion with no exception for rape as his critic for Status of Women. Scheer did. At minimum, current CPC Leader is blowing a very loud dog whistle to the anti-abortion lobby that helped elect him leader

Remember when George W. Bush banned stem cell research under pressure from the anti-choice movement in the US? Canada & Ontario took advantage of that moment to build world-class capacity. Now, this.

Students from Stanford, Carnegie Mellon & other top schools went from accepting Facebook job offers 85% of the time in 2017 to between 35%-55% this year. The impact of no longer being able to attract brightest & best students will hurt more than any fine.

Shutting down stem-cell research has been a goal of the "pro-life" movement in Ontario for some time. So can we all stop saying this movement has no clout and can safely be ignored?
