So: laid off 68 people today, and I am one of them. I am so, so sad—but I’d like to keep working! If you know, or are, someone with a hiring/freelance budget: afetters29@gmail.com. Also, I can’t believe this is just what we do on Thursdays and Fridays now! 0/10!!!

Just now returning to Twitter after years of hibernation, completing my book, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. It’s an x-ray of our country. It drops on Aug. 11, 2020. I hope you will love it as much as you did The Warmth of Other Suns.

I discussed with why the stock market is disconnected from the real economy. Wealthiest 1% own half of the market, bottom 80% own 6.7%. High stock prices, propped by Fed/Treasury do not capture the reality on the ground.
