Yes, disorder, randomness, but also the bog void from which the Earth was 'created' according to Greek mythology of which Nietzsche was quite knowledgeable ;-)

Agreed - very different concepts of chaos 😉

I seriously think that it is easier not to try and find out what Nietzsche meant word by word but rather do as he did and focus on the 'reasons' behind - why was it this or that way. What was intended? :-)

Aphorism = click bait??? Not really - click baot is not supposed to make you think but just click whereas I am quite sure Nietzsche intended exactly the opposite, namely to make you question those 'simple truths/claims' and look into the motivations behind.

If this was supposed to be a 'lesson on chaos' - I am not sure if it worked 😂. (Too) simply put: Chaos can be the source of creative ideas.

1. That does not make it 'bad' - I always loved the more difficult puzzles 😉 2. No problem - I read it in German 3. I just listen and reflect ðŸĪ“ - maybe that makes it easier 4. Maybe, maybe not...I feel quite happy with my explorations and will see where the chaos leads me ðŸĪŠ

But why would you think that any of those alternatives would be more useful or productive? Cannot everything be an inspiration - even a quote from Nietzsche? 😉

In German ;-) I try to read as much literature as possible in the original language as translations always include a certain interpretation, just like a jpeg converter in a camera ;-)

I am still not sure what it is you are so annoyed about - just the fact that a quote by Nietzsche inspires me? I have seen the work of many surrealists - was amongst other things at a Dali exhibition in Hamburg this year - also including other surrealist artists...still...😉

What do you want to be coherent with or to when you start? Maybe coherence and intentionality are essential for your work, they are definitely not for mine. My ideas are often born from chaos and I just let them happen - the only intention is to create...

Yes, that was the word I was looking for - originality!

Good then that I don't consider myself an artist because by that definition a lot of my work is definitely not art 😉...if it sucks...well,not for ke but everybody is entitled to their own opinion ðŸĪ“

Sounds too planned for me. Maybe you are not aware of the idea when you start so it is born from chaos?

...and how can there be a right and wrong in creativity?

Why shouldn't it be chaotic? I think it can be whatever we want it to be 😉
