Don't blame PowerPoint if you don't know how to use it . Used well, it is a compelling tool.

It's not that PPT is a poor platform for giving a presentation but a poor understanding of how to not over do it. Here's a short video...

I don't believe the issue is with the technology, but rather how presenters use the technology. The last presentation I gave utilized Powerpoint but was made up of pictures in it's entirety - absolutely nothing for anyone to read.
