Clear and sensible by here. As she says, economists agree. I said this back in March:

Imagine the whole of your profession looking at you with disgust? This repulsive individual is clearly expecting a big pay day because I can’t see her working as a lawyer again

The Police and MI5 are to be explicitly permitted for the first time under British law to authorise crimes. The law will not specify exactly which crimes can be committed. Critics to urge MPs to amend the proposed law to rule out murder. Creeping Fascism.

The Bar Council is taking what is going on very seriously indeed, as is the Law Society. Things are moving.

So tonight and released a statement trying to shift blame onto students for attending a party around 12-14th September. That’s a smokescreen. The real truth is that Glasgow University chose to bring students back into halls during a pandemic.

Arrogant and offensive. Can you imagine having to work with these truth twisters?

And now it turns out that one of the Professors appointed by the AG to advise on the Internal Market Bill is the long term partner of Gove’s SpAD. In normal times, you’d assume this was just by chance. 1/2

Not that I think students should have been brought in to halls/classes. Would a Uni lockdown have been acceptable to critics tho? I’m certain we’d have heard “overreaction”.

Seems like the strongest possible threat is in everyone’s interests? Would you prefer biz as usual then “Bloody students...knew they’d never listen”?

The claim from Unionists that the Scottish Govt wasn't prepared for a Covid outbreak in universities is easy to demolish. On Sept 8th Nicola Sturgeon stated publicly that a uni-return would "likely" result in an increase in cases. Students went back because we *were* prepared.

For those who think stopping community transmission is impossible -> look to East Asia. UK & US spend more time debating how serious COVID-19 is rather than working together to develop solutions (mass test/trace/isolate) to stop transmission & to prevent re-importation.
