I agree entirely Les and the Gateshead Local Authority were very disappointed not to be selected for their bid to the Future High Streets funds that were available from the Government, but went mainly to Tory areas.

For Gateshead Constituency Number of unemployed claimants in June 2019 was 3,465 This represents a rate of 7.2% of the economically active population aged 16-64 The equivalent UK claimant rate was 3.6%. Claimant Count is 465 higher than June 2018 and 75 higher than May 2019
