Pakistan releases new video of Abhinandan in which, among other things, he says he was "looking for a target" when PAF jets downed him. Interestingly, he takes a jibe at the Indian media, saying they exaggerate and "spice" things up to inflame the public sentiments.

Important to remember that anything he says right now wouldn't hold much of a weight since he's under captivity and could have been under duress. Let's wait and see what he says after going back to India.

Whoever came up with the idea of releasing that heavily edited video was not thinking straight. It is destined to be received with nothing but suspicion by everyone but the Pakistani media.

The government of Pakistan has now deleted that heavily-edited video of Abhinandan from their official Twitter account. Pakistani TV channels are also not airing it now.

Pakistani journalists who tweeted the video are also scrambling to delete it now. Looks like the orders from the powers that be arrived after they realised the backlash the video drew. What a huge, huge blunder.

It’s little obvious here that this interview is scripted, I don’t see someone talking about media under captivity.
