Mixing weed, alcohol and driving: The 'unanswered question' in the cannabis referendum FYI "really, really impaired" is not a thing. You're either impaired or you're not. Let's not use bullshit arguments to prop up unnecessary prohibition laws.

Actually, you’re less likely to be detected after using edibles, unless you used them recently so the particles are still physically in your mouth. The THC blood concentration is much lower after eating than smoking, and the devices trigger a positive at 25 Ng/ml

As a BC lawyer who has taken several cases in Alberta, this really breaks my heart. Calgary has a beautiful modern courthouse with technology and resources and ample courtrooms. What a waste of a good thing.

But the law could easily be crafted to criminalize the abusers and exploiters, without using a dragnet approach that captures people who are acting as managers, bodyguards, and schedulers, etc.

Two people punished on the basis of technology that will never be tested by anyone independent of government, because government and manufacturers collude to keep it out of the hands of anyone who could or would look for flaws.

I wandered around Six Flags one time until I found a quiet spot, and conducted a review hearing with an adjudicator on a driving prohibition case. My friend with me went on all the cool rides while I did it.

I’ve been feeling that way for a while. I think the pursuit of votes in our system has blurred the lines too much. I don’t have any clue how to fix it though.
